Calibration dates no one can overlook

Earbus Foundation of WA takes audiology equipment to at-risk Aboriginal children across 11 regions of WA. Each machine must be calibrated every year or it can’t be used. A spreadsheet nobody was watching let deadlines slip, so OneIT is building an asset register that puts calibration, repairs and location in plain sight.

Jane Jenkins

My experience with OneIT has been fantastic… I would definitely recommend OneIT to anybody who is requiring that kind of level of professionalism.

The challenge

Audiology equipment that isn’t calibrated can’t be used. Earbus tracked calibration in a SharePoint spreadsheet that wasn’t always up to date.

Jane Jenkins puts it simply: colour-coding a row red doesn’t help if nobody is looking at the spreadsheet. Machines fell out of calibration unnoticed, leaving too little equipment to send on trips.

The solution

OneIT worked through a detailed scoping phase with Jane, patiently and flexibly, proactively suggesting improvements as we went.

The result is a dedicated asset register that tracks every machine’s calibration due date, repair status and location, so the next deadline is visible before it becomes a problem.

The benefits

Deadlines that can’t hide

Calibration due dates come to the team instead of sitting in a spreadsheet.

Every machine accounted for

Repairs, location and condition tracked in one place.

A partner that listens

Jane says OneIT was “very proactive in recognising what it is that I was asking for.”

What we built

Asset register

Every piece of audiology equipment, recorded and searchable.

Calibration tracking

Due dates surfaced before equipment falls out of service.

Repairs and location

Know where each machine is and whether it’s fit for the next trip.
